Background: Neurotrophic factors such as NT-3 play an important role in spinal cord regeneration, contributing to regeneration assisting functional improvement SCI. ACTH4-10Pro8-Gly9-Pro10, analog of the N-terminal fragment (4-10) adrenocorticotropic hormone, is one neuroprotective compounds that can increase levels brain ischemia. Therefore, we conducted a study with experimental animals determine effect expression on ACTH4-10Pro8-Gly9-Pro10 administration acute compression SCI.Method: We used Sprague Dawley rats SCI model using 20 gr and 35 aneurysm clips. was administered intranasally treatment group, 0.9% NaCl positive control group. Both groups then terminated at 3 6 hours.Results: In mild were given NT -3 after hours 14 (12-17) 10 (7-13). severe 9 (6-11) 8 (7-10). Intranasal showed higher than group SCI.Conclusion: hours.
